Mozaik Play is a student placement agency that focuses on connecting prospective students with colleges in the design industry. Tasked with creating an exhibition to connect prospective students with design colleges around the globe, the outcome was a space that facilitated this by existing in the physical and digital world. The space consists of a series of exhibitor and industry specialist booths, seminar spaces, breakout and multi-use areas. Upon entering the space you are taken through a narrow dark tunnel that creates a sense of compression, obscuring what is to come. The historic Carriageworks building provided a neutral backdrop for the design, enhancing the pastel colour palette and cotton candy theme. Iridescent finishes appear throughout the space on surfaces which creates movement and facilitates a dynamic experience. Colours from the iridescent finishes such as soft pinks and turquoise, are then used to create a consistent feel for each component. The modular design allows for this exhibition to be held in any space and it can be constructed in multiple different configurations.
